Fears about deepfakes and disinformation were episodic and did not materialize in a devastating way. AI was used both to manipulate and to protect political information but did not subvert any outcome, despite what was wanted to be believed before the elections and also after (see the case of Romania);

The consequence is the concerns about who and how sees and protects the data that has been learned and who is responsible for any abuse;

in two different press conferences, the French president announced a development plan for the national AI sector amounting to 109 billion euros. In addition to the announcement, which is a bit more detailed than the European ones, TechCruch also did the math and last week commitments for 85 billion were reached, so not far from the goal. France is the European nation that is addressing the issue from a country system perspective that is more serious (competitive) and pragmatic (without, for now, taking on EU impositions, plans and regulatory obstacles);
